Steps towards Adoption

1.  Send Pictures and Videos of the Shelter and Paddock/Pasture the Horse or Donkey will live in to email address Double_D_Animal_Rescue@yahoo.com

2. Complete the Adoption Application

3. After you know which Horse or Donkey you will be adopting complete the Adoption Contract.  The horses or Donkeys Name must be in the contract.

4. If we are delivering please complete the Right To Refuse Delivery Form.  This form is utilized in situations where the Adopter did not provide adequate pictures or videos of the property to ensure an adequate review of property for safety issues.

5. Payment must be sent.  There are no holds unless payment has been received.

6.  We can provide boarding for a fee until you can arrange transport home.

At Double D, we have several horses available for adoption immediately. Many of our horses come from nearby kill pens and are looking for some love and attention from someone just like you. All of our horses have been through quarantine, have been seen by a veterinarian, and received all of their vaccinations. All ages are approximate.

We've started the healing process by providing proper nutrition, and love.to these gentle giants. Now it's up to you to continue that healing.

Horses are located in Rhome, Texas, NW of Fort Worth. Adopter is responsible for arranging transport for their new family member. We work with several transporters who may be able to provide you with special transport pricing.
